SW1 Log 12-28-03 Part 2
This is the second log for today.. I went to the GSL end of season awards ceremony, which was totally lame, but here it is. Seems that the trophies never showed up and half the people who were supposed to be there didn't show either. Anyway the big news from this is that Mora passed me a note inviting me to join Team Corellia Racing. WOO! I am rescuing our beloved General Steele from a frozen death in deep space. How did I get on the outer rim you might ask.. well see there was this little side trip to Dantooine for uh... dropping off fresh pastries, yeah that's it! Fresh pastries! Anyway.. on the way back from Dant I find a lifepod and who should be half frozen in it but our beloved General. NON-CHAR: Today is Christmas eve..
That seems odd since it's barely 6am here. How can it be 'eve' in the dead of morning? It's still dark outside and yet it's 'eve'. Oh well, just more pondering weirdness for me. There probably won't be any IC stuff for today since today I take off from IC to have a RL. I have a little 'exchanging' of presents to take care of this morning before stuff gets crowded. But that shouldn't take too long and then I have to pick up the fixings for the casserole I'm making. I hope EVERYONE has a merry christmas or what ever it might be that you're celebrating this week. Kiare will, of course, return shortly from the break she's taking. |

The last race of the season, Nar Shaddaa. Been here once before and this time I did better. There was a +2 for GVO but it hadn't been distributed yet at the time of the race, still I did okay and came in Third. Notice a pattern?? Promotions?
Okay. In more strangeness I've now been promoted to DIRECTOR of the NRI. Totally weird! Anyway I've taken some steps which starts with appointing an NPC character to be the 'face' of NRI. I never really wanted that job. How can you be anonymous if your face is plastered all over the news?!? On top of that I have made a bulletin board post that seemed to have gotten a LOT of response fairly quickly. Which is great because it gives me a lot of different things to work on and be building towards other things and setting up IC contacts and OOC contacts. Since I will be running the NRI OOCly and acting ICly as the 'liason' between the NRI Director and whoever. Basically keeping the Director 'safe' by not meeting with those that might be somewhat uh... dangerous for him. I'm copying that here so you can all read it.
Not a job I ever expected to have but hey. I'm here now so I guess I better
get busy figuring stuff out. So.. first on the agenda is to find out WHO all the
important people are. Planet leaders, faction people, fun guys willing to work
with me. Drop me an @mail, page me.. Whatever. I'm here and I'll do my best to
talk to all of you.
Next.. I'll probably work on recruiting people for NRI and getting some basic
conduct rules into place. So again.. Planet leaders and such should @mail me so
I can find out the best way to get things done on each planet.
Next.. I'd like to get some REAL missions running and get some REAL stuff done
but what that stuff is really hasn't hit me just yet. If there are people who
have VALID suggestions contact me. If you have a complaint about NRI please
contact me, I will do my best to address any issues that might be had. I don't
want NRI causing any more trouble than absolutely required and the best place
to start with this is where concerns might already exist.
Would all current NRI personnel contact me as well, and all those interested in
working with/for NRI in any capacity. I am hoping to make the transition as
smooth as possible but understand that transitions are times for everyone to
hate the new person and want the old back.
Last but not least, please do not take issue with me personally for NRI
administration in the past. I can only hope to improve the present and the
future but I can not change the past. I can only hope to give you a new
outlook, the NRI will not follow the road that takes them to darker places than
the Empire has been.

WOO!!! My very first 'Jedi' RP. I was thrilled at the chance to RP with a Jedi and even more thrilled that my new position as Deputy Director had earned me the lead in something big and FUN! So the Log is aboard the New Republic Star Destroyer (NRSD) Crusader on Level 15, the Security Level. Prisoner's are held on that level and the NR Intel presence on board has their facilities on the aft side of that level. Time again for the monthly swoop racing weekend. I got to Nar Shaddaa early hoping to get in quick on the races but there was some trouble with people not wanting to let me into their races and then SRM left me out of the initial pose for another race so once the race had started I left the track so I wouldn't be in the way. Then with Jaren pissing me off with the stalking I told him to take his swoop and shove it becuase if I had to race for him I'd rather not race. I mean REALLY! He boards my ship while I'm hanging in space and then he follows me everywhere. Time for the monthly swoop racing weekend. I JUST missed the last weekend in that it ended the day I arrived on the MUSH or something like that. So with that in mind I got in early on this one. The race was on Theseus station over Etti IV. The interigation of Donivan. It's been two days and the bacta tank has does it's job well. Kiare was out of her tank yesterday and today Donivan is out. So now it's time to tortu..er.. question.. well Interrogate him. Kiare isn't really involved with the interrogation of Donivan but she and Donivan's employee are in the next room and watching, for a while anyway. The capture of Donivan. Turns out the guy is wanted for a variety of different things. So Bazil has a meeting with him, Kiare (Kia) and Jaren (Riff) show up in disquise to help out. Then Malar (Boola) shows up to help out as well.
